Wernau Castle

The Castle of the Barons of Palm on the main street in the Steinbach district of Wernau is a building from the early 18th century.
Steinbach was once under the rule of the Lords of Liebenstein, who also had the castle built, which later passed into Palm's possession. Even before the building that still exists today, there was a moated castle on the same site.
The Castle of the Barons of Palm was supplemented by a granary and a wine press. The yellow-washed main building has an almost square floor plan and a high mansard roof. The three lower floors are visually separated from each other by horizontal structural elements. The building is surrounded by tall trees.
The castle is privately owned and not open to the public for viewing.
