History of the Castle+
The castle was built around 1550 by the Counts of Castell. In 1547, ownership changed to Hans Fuchs von Dornheim. From 1576 to 1600, the castle was expanded. In 1704, ownership changed to the Counts of Schönborn. From 1708-24, Rudolf Franz Erwein von Schönborn had the Baroque castle built.
