Wildbach Castle, an edifice in Styria, stands in the municipality of Deutschlandsberg-Wildbach. Its origins date back to the 13th century.

History+

In the 13th century, a fortified house, surrounded by walls and a moat, was built on this site by the Lords of Wildbach. After the extinction of this family, the Staindorfers took possession of the property. In 1499, the estate passed to Paul Parcival von Sunneckh, who had been allowed to call himself 'von Wildenstein' since 1470. Between 1534 and 1540, Sigmund von Wildenstein replaced the previous structure, destroyed by the Turks, with a new castle.
