Winterburg Castle
A predecessor building, which was built by the Counts of Sponheim, is mentioned in 1325. In 1609 the castle was expanded and in 1689 destroyed by French troops in the Palatinate War of Succession. In 1747 a new official residence was built for the Margraves of Baden.
