Wolfsbrunn Castle

Hotel

Wolfsbrunn Castle in Hartenstein-Stein was originally built as an entrepreneur's villa and now serves as a hotel.

History+

The origins of Wolfsbrunn Castle date back to 1911, when the mining entrepreneur Dr. Karl Georg Wolf commissioned the construction of a villa. The Art Nouveau design came from the master builder Emanuel von Seidl, and the interior was furnished by Munich artists. After the builder's death in 1934, the estate became municipal property: it served as a youth hostel, a Reich Women's Leader School, an officer's hospital, and a Wehrmacht staff headquarters.
