Iglhof Manor
Iglhof Castle Estate is a former manor house in Iglbach, a district of the municipality of Affing in the Swabian district of Aichach-Friedberg. The building is a protected monument.
The castle estate was first mentioned in a document in 1126. It was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War and then rebuilt. From 1750 to 1816, the Barons of Leyden owned the castle estate, after which it passed into the possession of the Barons of Gravenreuth together with Affing Castle. In March 2007, the former longhouse was demolished. In 2010, it was proposed to save the Iglhof and use it as a town hall.
Architecture+
The current two-story building with a gabled roof and curved east gable was probably built in the late 17th century. The farm building (longhouse) with only a ground floor had a greddach (a type of roof).
