Falkenstein Castle

The original Falkenstein Castle was destroyed by French troops in 1798. On the site of this former fortress, a new Neo-Baroque castle church was erected in 1904. For its construction, the original castle tower was rebuilt and integrated into the new church building. The entire structure is now under federal monument protection. In the immediate vicinity is also the Old Catholic Church of Saint Anton, which was built as a castle chapel between 1659 and 1663. Some economic buildings, now used by the municipal administration, as well as parts of the former enclosing wall, have been preserved. A granary from the 17th century can also be found in Mülidorf.
