The remains of the Castle can be visited

The castle was built in the 13th century and first mentioned in 1353 as belonging to the von Rabiel family. Ownership then changed in 1439 to the von Buxdorf family and in 1489 to Götz von Wolfersdorf. In the 16th century, the castle was rebuilt with a round tower. In 1734, the castle was expanded into a three-wing complex by Caspar Sigismund von Langen. In the middle of the 19th century, the tower was reshaped with a neo-Gothic battlement. Ownership changed in 1840 to the von Thermo family and from 1922 until his expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945 to Friedrich von Arnim. After this, displaced persons moved into the castle. Unfortunately, the castle increasingly fell into disrepair and was partially demolished in 1967. Today, only parts of the curtain wall and the tower remain.
