Lübz (Eldenburg) Castle

The remains of the castle can be visited

Eldenburg Castle was built after 1224 by the Brandenburg Margrave Otto IV. From 1328, the castle was owned by the Dukes of Mecklenburg. From 1352 to 1471, due to inheritance division, the castle was owned by the Dukes of Mecklenburg-Stargard and then again by the Dukes of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
