Murrmirnichtviel Castle

A watchtower at this location was first documented in 1534 and referred to as “die Klause”. It is believed that this tower was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. Later, presumably under Johann Friedrich von Leiningen (1661–1722), it was rebuilt and expanded into a Baroque hunting lodge. The complex served to secure the border of the Leiningen hunting grounds against the Electoral Palatinate. Despite the expansion, the complex must have fallen into disrepair or been destroyed again soon after, as it was already listed as the ruin Friedrichsburg in a rent roll in 1781.
