Pottendorf Castle Ruin, once a moated castle, is located in the market town of Pottendorf in the Baden district, Lower Austria. Its history dates back to the 12th century.

The first documented mention of Pottendorf Castle dates back to 1130, associated with Rudolf von Pottendorf, suggesting its construction shortly before. Originally Romanesque, the complex underwent Gothic and later Baroque transformations. An originally freestanding, late Gothic chapel was connected to the main building in 1519. Between 1737 and 1738, two Romanesque corner towers and a 13th-century gate tower were integrated into the structure.
