Schönborn Castle
In Zeil am Main, the Schönborn Palace, an early Baroque hunting lodge, is a three-winged structure. Its architecture adapts to the hillside, with the longitudinal wings being two-story and the transverse wing three-story.
History+
The palace was built between 1695 and 1710 by order of Lothar Franz von Schönborn. It originally served as a hunting lodge. Although Leonhard Dientzenhofer is occasionally presumed to be the master builder, there is no confirmed evidence for this. A stair tower in the inner courtyard of the former hunting lodge is dated to the 19th century.

Today, the building houses the tax office and is thus partly accessible to the public. Its condition is well-maintained.
