In Altenburg, Thuringia, the Seckendorffsche Palais is a historic residence that now serves as a theater. It was built in the early 18th century and is known for one of its residents, who laid the foundation for a publishing house here.

The construction of the Seckendorffsche Palais took place in 1724. The patron was Imperial Count Friedrich Heinrich von Seckendorff, who commissioned the master builder Johann Georg Hellbrunn for its execution. One personality who lived in this building was Friedrich Arnold Brockhaus. He used the palais as his residence and workplace between 1810 and 1817, establishing his publishing house during this period.
