Skelbo Castle is on an elevated bank at the mouth of Loch Fleet in the Scottish Highlands.
History+
The origins of Skelbo Castle date back to the 14th century. In 1308, the castle was built by Robert the Bruce. In 1529, the estate passed to William Sutherland. The last known owner, Mikhail de Buar, passed away in 2009.
