St. George's Church in Nördlingen is an example of late Gothic architecture. Its tower, known as the Daniel, shapes the city's skyline. As the Evangelical Lutheran parish church, it serves as a place of worship and a historical landmark of the Bavarian city.

The construction of St. George's Church was decided by the Nördlingen city council in October 1427. The choir of the hall church was completed in 1451, and the tower construction began in 1454. The high altar by Friedrich Herlin was finished in 1462, followed by the tower in 1490. With the completion of the vault in 1505, the construction, largely made of suevite, was concluded.
