In Neubrandenburg, the Stargarder Tor is an example of North German Brick Gothic and a part of the city fortifications. It stands out due to its architecture and the terracotta figures.

History+

The construction of the Stargarder Tor took place in the first half of the 14th century. A dendrochronological study precisely dated the main gate's construction to the year 1311. From the city side, nine terracotta figures, known as adorants with open arms, adorn the main gate.
