The Gate can be visited

The Nuremberg-Neutor city fortification is an element of Nuremberg's historic city wall, located in the northwest of the city. As one of the four main gates of the medieval defensive complex, it played a role in the city's trade and defense.

History+

The Neutor, first documented in 1377, was one of the four main gates of Nuremberg's city fortification and served as a traffic artery to Fürth, Würzburg, and Frankfurt am Main. It was built next to the older Tiergärtnertor and originally featured an outer bailey.
