The City Wall can be visited

The city wall was built in the 14th century and was originally 5m high and about 2.9km long. It protected the old and new towns at that time. Today it is only 1.8km long and in some places still max. 3.5m high. Of the gates, the Neuperver Tor, Steintor, Wassertor (fragmentary) and the Lüchower Tor are still preserved.
