The Stiegerschlössl is a historic building in Maishofen, in the Salzburg region in Austria. Originally a Gothic structure, it underwent several transformations and now presents itself as a three-story castle with a 19th-century facade design.

History+

The name of the castle originates from the Stieger family, who owned the estate between 1700 and 1818. A renovation of the building occurred in 1839 by the couple Peter and Elisabeth Neumayer, commemorated by an inscription on the bay window. The fan-shaped palmettes and curved stucco gables adorning the facade date from this period. However, Gothic stone surrounds are still visible in its core. After the Neumayers, the castle passed into the possession of the Dick family before being acquired by Fridolin Engls in 1977.
