Templar house

The first known owner of the Templerhaus was the noble family Rüdt von Collenberg, who used the property before building Bödigheim Castle between 1286 and 1296. After the building was sold, a renovation took place in 1291, during which the stone substructure was partially dismantled and the two timber-framed upper floors, whose age could be determined dendrochronologically, were added. In the 15th century, the so-called Rüdenhof passed from lower noble owners into bourgeois hands.
