In the historic old town of Córdoba, Spain, the Torre de la Calahorra is a fortified gate. Originally built by the Almohads, it served to protect the adjacent Roman Bridge over the Guadalquivir.

The origins of the Torre de la Calahorra date back to the late 12th century when the Almohads constructed it as a defensive structure. It initially comprised an arched gate flanked by two square towers. In 1369, a restoration was undertaken under King Henry II of Castile. During this period, a third tower was added, connecting the existing towers in the shape of two cylinders.
