The bunker can be visited

The Bordeaux U-Boat Base, with its seven dry docks and four wet docks, measures 245 x 162 meters and is 19 meters high. Construction of the bunker began in September 1941 and was completed by May 1943. From mid-1943, work began on reinforcing the ceilings, but this was not completed by August 28, 1944, the evacuation of the port.
