Lower Castle Grüningen

The Lower Castle Grüningen, built in the 13th century on an artificial mound in the middle of the village, served as the seat of the Grünenberg ministerialis. In 1750, the castle was rebuilt. Owners included the Lords of Grüningen and the Barons of Hornstein.
