The Vitzthum von Eckstedtsche Freihof is a manor and estate house in Quedlinburg, part of the UNESCO World Heritage.

History+

The origins of the estate date back to the Middle Ages, when it served as a noble court. The current appearance of the main building largely took shape in 1597, as evidenced by an inscription above the portal. It commemorates the then-abbey captain Christoph Vitzthum von Eckstedt and his wife Maria von Hagen. Around 1780, the Freihof underwent renovation, during which a western wing was also added.
