Vogthaus Palais

The Vogthaus was built from 1360 to 1379 as the town house of the Dukes of Teck. In 1543, it was rebuilt as the official residence for the Obervogt. In 1559, ownership transferred to Duke Christoph of Württemberg, in 1653 to Konrad Widerholt, and in 1681 to the city of Kirchheim. In 1710, the building was damaged by a city fire. In 1710, Duchess Magdalena Sybilla of Württemberg bought the building and rebuilt it. In 1724, ownership transferred to Obervogt Albrecht von Boldewin. From 1756 onwards, there were frequent changes of ownership. From 1851 to 1964, the Henrietten-Stift was housed in the building. In 1961, the city of Kirchheim bought the building. Since 1982, it has housed a family education center.
