The Wasmer-Palais in Glückstadt, Schleswig-Holstein, is a Baroque city palace. Originally built as a residence for the Wasmer family, it later served as a government seat and court, and today houses an educational institution.

History+

The construction of the Wasmer-Palais took place in several phases between 1700 and 1728 for the councilors Conrad and Jacob Johann von Wasmer. In 1752, Frederick V acquired the palace to use it as the seat of the government chancellery, which had previously been located in the Palais Quasi non Possidentes. Since Glückstadt Castle had already been demolished in 1710, a residence for members of the Danish royal family was set up in the Wasmer-Palais. From 1806, the building housed the Holstein High Court.
