Fortified church St. Georg

The parish church, still surrounded by a medieval churchyard wall, was rebuilt from 1611 to 1616 under Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn. The choir tower in the east is a typical Julius Echter tower. Five church bells, cast in 1955 by the Erdinger Glockengießerei, hang in its belfry.

The Neo-Gothic high altar dates from 1878, the side altars from 1887. The nave was altered in 1901. The Stations of the Cross were created by Heinz Schiestl in 1901. The paintings on the coffered ceiling were designed by Eulogius Böhler in 1901. The Neo-Gothic organ case on the gallery is also from 1901. Behind it is the organ built in 1974 by Winfried Elenz with 19 registers, two manuals, and pedal. In 1970, the interior was redesigned. A people's altar was placed in front of the high altar. Instead of the side altars from 1887, there are now statues of saints. The pulpit from 1887 now serves as an ambo.
