The Westwall Bunker Pachten is a testament to 20th-century military architecture. As part of the Westwall complex in Dillingen, it now serves as a museum.

History+

Construction activities for the Westwall in Dillingen began relatively late, although numerous installations had already been built by 1937. It was only in 1938 that a new list of standard structures was drawn up, intensifying the expansion of the Westwall. Construction work for the installations in Dillingen, including the Pachten bunker, took place between 1939 and 1940. A high density of 165 fortifications was created in an area of approximately 40 square kilometers.
