The Benneckenbeck residential tower in Magdeburg-Ottersleben is the oldest building in the former village of Benneckenbeck. It once served as a protective structure for the population and is now the only preserved one of its kind in the region.

The exact construction date of the tower is not known, but it is mostly attributed to the 13th or 14th century, with the period around 1500 or 1520 also considered possible. A year inscribed near the entrance refers to 1594. Originally, the tower offered refuge to residents during raids and sieges. The upper floors were only accessible via an external ladder, which could be retracted in times of danger. Until World War II, the tower was used as a dovecote. A lightning strike in 1945 destroyed the roof structure, after which the tower remained unused and fell into disrepair.
