Zeidler Castle

The origins of the Zeidlerschloss date back to 1427, when Nuremberg citizen Burckard Peßler acquired the properties of the Hutt family. Immediately thereafter, he began constructing a manor house in the Kartäuserweiher. As early as 1428, the Nuremberg Council demanded a sales restriction, stating that the property could only be sold to Nuremberg citizens or the Council itself. After several changes of ownership, including the Peßler family, the castle was sold to Katharina Harsdorffer in 1503.
