Zwischenwerk VIIIb (Köln)

The construction of Zwischenwerk VIIIb took place between 1876 and 1878. Despite later plans for partial demolition, as documented in Encke's memorandum, most of the complex remained intact. Around 1926, Fritz Encke designed a garden plan for the site, which was implemented in 1927 by Theodor Nußbaum with some modifications. In the post-war period, the area was used by the Parks and Green Spaces Department before becoming a sculpture park from 1985 onwards. Today, it houses, among other things, the club rooms of CRIFA.

Zwischenwerk VIIIb is located in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, northeast of Konrad-Adenauer-Straße. It sits at an elevation of approximately 55 meters above sea level.
